Socrates Project DNA Damage Project

He feels that his experiences as a scientist (he as served as a Principal Investigator on multiple grants), an entrepreneur (founder of two high tech companies), and an educator (professional curriculum developer for science training) have prepared him to make unique contributions at the front lines of science education. During his short tenure at Southwest High, he has been a vocal proponent of inquiry based methods and serves on a committee to promote project based multidisciplinary strategies. Dr. Mackay has been a technology leader throughout his career and is committed to helping science education advance to the next level. Says Don: “I am interested in the ScienceBridge Teacher Fellowship because it fits perfectly with our school's plans to implement a project-based strategy into our chemistry program next year. The timing and scope could not be more perfectly matched.”
