Enzymes MSDS

This MSDS is for hydrochloric acid (HCl) used at 1M concentration for acidic conditions in this lab. 

This MSDS is for L-DOPA (L-3,4-diydroxyphenyl-alanine), which is the substrate in this lab. 200mL 10mM L-DOPA solution mixed with 800mL of 100mM potassium phosphate solution is aliquotted into individual tubes for this lab. MSDS for potassium phosphate solution is also included here. 

This MSDS is for potassium phosphate dibasic, which is used in phosphate buffer (20.414g monobasic potassium phosphate, 5.226g of dibasic potassium phosphate, mixed with 1.8L of DI water), which is part of the grinding buffer (200mL of potassium phosphate buffer mixed with 800mL DI water). 

This MSDS is for potassium phosphate monobasic anhydrous, which is used in phosphate buffer (20.414g monobasic potassium phosphate, 5.226g of dibasic potassium phosphate, mixed with 1.8L of DI water), which is part of the grinding buffer (200mL of potassium phosphate buffer mixed with 800mL DI water).

This MSDS is for SDS (sodium dodecyl sulfate), which is added to the grinding buffer prior to the lab. 1mL of SDS is added to 5mL grinding buffer. SDS is 1% of the solution, with DI water as the remaining 99%. 

This MSDS is for sodium benzoate powder, which is used as the inhibitor in this lab (INH). 1M solution is used, using 14.41g of solid sodium benzoate, mixed with 100mL of 100mM potassium phosphate buffer.
